Charities Search Tips
Phrase search ("")
Putting double quotes around a set of words forces the search to include the exact words in the exact order without change. Since the search already uses the order combination of words as an initial parameter, quotes are often unnecessary, and may lead to missing results when only part of the name is used. However, it is good for quickly narrowing down the search. For example "Doctors Without Borders" returns the one (national) charity with that name while not using quotes will list that charity first, but will also include 241 other charities with similar names, or portions thereof.
